Kids Discover: Our Ancient Sycamore Tree

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday by meeting a tree that is older than our Country. Join a Naturalist along the East Shore Trail, one of Wildwood’s less-traveled trails. Participants will hike approximately half a mile into the trail where a Naturalist will reveal this American Sycamore’s age. Facts about Sycamores and how to age a living tree will be provided. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy close-toed shoes. Participants can access the north or south entrance to the East Shore Trail via the paved Wildwood Way Trail. Park at the Nature Center and begin walking north on Wildwood Way Trail. This program is a part of America250 Dauphin County Celebration. Pre-registration not required.
