Los Lobos

  • Starting: Sep 24, 2021
  • Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts
  • 222 Market St.
    Harrisburg, PA 17101

Los Lobos has sold millions of records, won prestigious awards, and made fans around the world. But perhaps its most lasting impact will be how well its music embodies the idea of America as a cultural melting pot. In it, styles like son jarochonorteñoTejano, folk, country, doo-wop, soul, R&B, rock ’n’ roll, and punk all come together to create a new sound that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Alejandro Escovedo will be opening for Los Lobos. Crossing borders, jumping barriers, taking risks, betting it all: that’s the path Alejandro Escovedo has been taking in his lifelong search for the heart of rock and roll. Alejandro’s new album, The Crossing (YepRoc Records, September 14) is about that journey: searching, but not necessarily finding, eyes and ears open all the way. It is his first for Yep Roc Records and his first ever recorded in Europe. “This says more about me than any of my records without it being a record about me,” Alejandro says. Learn more about Escovedo here.

**PLEASE NOTE** Unfortunately, The Los Lobos show scheduled for Friday, January 29th at @whitakercenter in Harrisburg, PA was postponed due to COVID-19. Tickets previously purchased will be valid for September 24, 2021! Please email info@whitakercenter.org if you wish to refund tickets.
