The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is excited to host their 16th Annual Race Against Racism to promote awareness of racism and injustice in our community and raise vital funds to support our racial justice programs.
Due to the current pandemic, this year's Race Against Racism will be held virtually. Runners will participate by running or walking a distance of 5k or 3.1 miles between 12:00am on April 1st and 11:59pm on April 25.
This can be done wherever participants are - on a treadmill, on a rails to trails path, around a track or even on the race course.
Participants are encouraged to time themselves and submit their times. Then connect their experiences with other participatns by posting on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and utilizing the hashtags #RARHBG and #VirtualRace.
