Reservoir Park

  • 100 Concert Dr, Harrisburg, PA 17103

Reservoir Park is Harrisburg’s oldest and largest municipal park, spanning approximately 85 acres in the city’s Allison Hill neighborhood. Perched at the highest point in the city, the park offers sweeping views of the State Capitol, Susquehanna River Valley, and Blue Mountains. Established in 1890 around a major city water reservoir, the park remains a vital part of Harrisburg’s infrastructure, housing one underground and two above-ground reservoirs that supply fresh water to the city. Reservoir Park is also home to the National Civil War Museum, serves as a key site along the Capital Area Greenbelt, and hosts many of Harrisburg’s most beloved outdoor festivals and performances, including Shakespeare in the Park.
