New Year's Eve Celebration

On Wednesday, December 31st, celebrate the New Year in Downtown Harrisburg with a strawberry drop, fireworks, kids activities and more!

The event kicks off at 8:30pm with a Kid's Glow Party, balloon drop, face painting, crafts, and more. There will also be free snacks for the kids to enjoy. Taking place inside of City Hall (10 N 2nd St), come wearing your brightest neon and white to glow all night!

In front of City Hall, there will be a DJ and free hot cocoa starting at 9pm. Leading up to midnight, we will do the annual strawberry drop at the Hilton followed by fireworks (from 2nd Street between Blackberry & Market Street) to welcome the New Year.

Be sure to make dinner reservations and enjoy performances, parties and more at businesses throughout the City. A list of events and dining specials is below.

Nocturnal

Ring in the New Year the Nocturnal way—wild and unforgettable! Enjoy $2 drinks from 9–11 pm, dance all night to DJ Caraby, and even take a ride on the mechanical bull on the top floor. With three floors of entertainment, it’s one of the biggest NYE parties in the ‘Burg.

Kick off the night with unbeatable drink specials at Sawyer’s! Enjoy $1 well drinks and domestic cans from 10 pm to midnight.

Last Laughs of 2025 (9pm-11pm)

Ring in the New Year with a night of laughter at Gamut Theatre! Their beloved improv troupe, TMI, will present Last Laughs of 2025 with three short performances—one each hour leading up to midnight—scheduled so you can still catch the Harrisburg fireworks. Stop by Gamut’s Select Medical Mainstage for 1, 2, or all 3 shows before heading out to see the Strawberry Drop. Peggy’s Pub will be serving drinks and snacks all night long!

Popcorn Hat Players 32nd Annual New Year’s Eve Party for Children (11am)

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Popcorn Hat Players at their 33rd Annual New Year’s Eve Party for Children, featuring The Ugly Duckling! Instead of counting down to midnight, families can choose from two party times—11 am or 5 pm—to “count down to noon” or “count down to six.” The event is identical at both times and perfect for all ages.

Karaoke at Zembies

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with No-Cover Karaoke from 9 pm–2 am! Reserve a table and keep it saved while you head out to watch the Strawberry Drop. Call 717-232-5020 to reserve. The kitchen will be open until midnight.
