You’re invited to a season of river breezes, roof top games, cool drinks, hot nights, interesting art and long leisurely days with friends and family.  Welcome to summer in Harrisburg!

A night out – whether it’s date night, girls’ night, or quality time with the family – summer nights in Harrisburg are made for warm conversation, cool drinks, and your pick of movies, music, dancing, dining, or maybe even riverside mini-golf or rooftop Jenga!

Head here for a delicious bite to eat and some sidewalk dining on Restaurant Row and throughout the city; grab a cold one at Zeroday Brewing and then head next door to Midtown Cinema for a movie; soak up the live music scene at HMAC and Sawyers; or enjoy some conversation and dancing at Knock, Level 2 and other city hotspots. Looking for a unique experience with friends or family? Check out water golf on City Island, throwback games and the beer selection at the Millworks Rooftop Biergarten, or hit up the food trucks for a real palette pleaser.

Looking for an unexpected Island Getaway in the middle of the Susquehanna River? That’s right, head to City Island and take in all there is to do in this unique river recreation spot, just a short walk across the Walnut Street Bridge from the city.

Enjoy summer baseball at its best at a Harrisburg Senators game, play a game of water golf with the family, catch a City Islanders soccer game, or simply relax and see the sites from the mini-train on the Island, a horse-drawn carriage ride around the Island, or even aboard a themed cruise on the Pride of the Susquehanna.

In the summer, the arts and culture scene in Harrisburg hits the streets, literally. The third Friday of each month, you’ll find people out and about enjoying art, music and more during 3rd In The Burg.  Every other day is filled with opportunities to enjoy the thriving culture of the city as well.  From art galleries, to the curated pop-up market The Harrisburg Flea, you’re certain to discover that very specific something you’ve been searching for.

As you meander Midtown you’ll come across live music both on the streets and in distinct venues, each with their own vibe.  A great day or great night out must include good eats!  Farm to table restaurants are abound in Harrisburg for those famished for fresh. For fare on the go, global cuisine food trucks offer delicious street-side sustenance.

While you can plan on a good time - come with an open mind and an open schedule. You never know what finds you’ll discover or what friends you’ll meet along the way.
