Join The City of Harrisburg for the Ice & Fire Festival on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11 AM to 7 PM. This free event will showcase over 50 ice sculptures, both large and small, alongside exciting attractions like an ice slide, fire dancers, live ice carving demonstrations, and cozy fire pits with s'mores. Enjoy an artist market, performances by local schools and community groups, kids' activities, food trucks, and various vendors. Don’t miss the cocktail, coffee, and cocoa crawl! Ice sculptures will be displayed along North 2nd Street and across City Island, Midtown, Italian Lake, Shipoke, and Reservoir Park, with the sculptures lighting up at 5 PM.
Watch performers as they entertain with a series of fire dancing performances at 5PM & 7PM.
Enjoy dance, instrumental, and vocal performances by youth and community groups from across the region at the UPMC Stage from 11AM to 7PM on March 1. The fire dancers will also perform at the stage. A complete schedule of performances will be included in the event guide.
Over 60 ice sculptures will be showcased across the City, starting at 11 AM, and will light up at 5 PM. Don’t miss the chance to join the scavenger hunt for an opportunity to win a prize basket filled with gift cards and treats from local businesses!
Festival-goers of all ages can enjoy a thrilling, free ride on the 30-foot ice slide during the event on March 1, from 11 AM to 7 PM.
250 free smores kits will be distributed at the start of each hour of the festival from 11 AM to 7 PM.
Enjoy free ice skating located on 2nd Street in front of City Hall from 11 AM to 7 PM. Free skate rentals are included
Browse a wide selection of handcrafted goods from local artisans, including pottery, wire sculptures, clothing, jewelry, illustrations, candles, and more! Vendors will be set up both inside and outside the City Government Center from 11 AM to 7 PM. Additionally, the HBG Flea will be happening at Strawberry Square from 10 AM to 4 PM, offering even more unique handmade items.
Watch as one of the talented ice carvers from Ice Concepts brings an ice sculpture to life along the festival route on 2nd Street.
Enjoy carriage rides around the City, including the Capitol building! Reserve ahead by calling or texting Traci at 717-448-8464. Walk-ups will also be accepted.

Participating businesses throughout the City will be offering ice and fire themed drink specials that are $7 or less. A list of participating businesses and their drink will be included in the event guide and map.

Downtown – Street parking is free after 5pm on Saturday in the designated Downtown area (see map here) and free all day on Sunday. Get 4 hours of free Downtown street parking using the code LUVHBG on the Parkmobile app. A discounted $10 daily rate is available at the Market Square Garage courtesy of Park Harrisburg on March 1. The Walnut Street and Chestnut Street garages will also be available (standard rates apply).
City Island – Free parking is available.
Midtown – Free parking at the Greenworks Development parking lots #2 and #4 at Reily and Logan St. Free 2 hour parking in the parking lots at Fulton and Verbeke St. Metered street parking is available.
Italian Lake – Street parking is available
Reservoir Park – Free parking in the parking lot off of Reservoir Dr.
Shipoke – Metered street parking available.
