Join us for the annual Kipona Festival on Riverfront Park & City Island. This 3-day event features a Native American Pow-Wow, live music stage, Family Fun Zone, Artist Market, Kinetic Sculpture Parade, food trucks, beer/wine garden, and so much more! Check back for the 2025 program guide.
Experience the rich diversity of our community at Kipona’s Multicultural Celebration! Enjoy a vibrant mix of dance and music performances, cultural demonstrations, and unique vendor booths—all happening in Riverfront Park between Locust and Walnut Streets.
Get creative and join the fun by crafting a water-themed costume or giant puppet for the parade! Think fish, jellyfish, narwhals, river monsters, otters, sea shells, anything inspired by the water. Whether it’s a simple mask, a full-body costume, or a decorated bike or wagon, let your imagination flow. All costumes and creations should be handmade, and creativity is highly encouraged! View video of the 2024 parade.
This annual tradition brings together Native American communities from various tribes to celebrate and showcase their cultures through dance, music, storytelling, crafts, and food. The festival takes place on City Island and is a popular part of Kipona each year.
Keystone Dock Dogs is coming to the Kipona Festival! There is no experience necessary and dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and ages (above 6 months) are welcome to participate. New to DockDogs? Learn more by visiting: dockdogs.com and sign up by clicking here.

The Family Fun Zone will feature activities for the whole family! There will be free face painting, balloon animals, an entertainment stage, a bubble festival and more.
Some pay-to-play carnival games and a giant fun slide will also be there for everyone's enjoyment. Additionally, families can head over at nearby City Island to ride the railroad or play a round of mini golf.
Enjoy performances from more than 15 local bands and musicians at the entertainment stage located near State Street.
Shop a variety of handcrafted items such as jewelry, artwork, apparel, pottery, glassworks, bath and body products, home décor and more from over 40 artisans that will be set up along the riverfront.
Food Trucks
Many different food trucks will be on-site serving festival favorites such as funnel cakes, fresh cut fries, cheesesteaks, freshly squeezed lemonade, tacos and more.
Beer & Wine Garden
Enjoy a beer from City breweries and wine from local wineries along the riverfront while listening to live music.
