Spring & Summer Festivals in Harrisburg
>
Join us for the 107th annual Kipona Festival on Riverfront Park & City Island. This 3-day event features a Native American Pow-Wow, fireworks, live music stage, Family Fun Zone, Artist Market, tightrope walkers above the Susquehanna River, food trucks, beer/wine garden, and so much more!
New this year, the City is excited to highlight a wide variety of cultures through performances, demonstrations, and vendor booths.
The talented Rylee Gallagher will perform a series of dramatic walks across a tightwire above the Susquehanna River.
This annual tradition brings together Native American communities from various tribes to celebrate and showcase their cultures through dance, music, storytelling, crafts, and food. The Pow-Wow usually takes place on City Island and is a popular part of Kipona each year.
Enjoy watching the fireworks display illuminate the Susquehanna River waterfront. The show will begin at approximately 8:15 p.m. and can be viewed from miles of space along Riverfront Park, City Island and other locations in the City of Harrisburg.
The Family Fun Zone will feature activities for the whole family! There will be free face painting, balloon animals, an entertainment stage and more.
Some pay-to-play carnival games and a giant fun slide will also be there for everyone's enjoyment. Additionally, families can head over at nearby City Island to ride the railroad, play a round of mini golf or sail aboard the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat.
Enjoy performances from more than 15 local bands and musicians at the entertainment stage located near State Street.
Shop a variety of handcrafted items such as jewelry, artwork, apparel, pottery, glassworks, bath and body products, home décor and more from over 40 artisans that will be set up along the riverfront.
Food Trucks
A variety of food trucks will be on-site serving festival favorites such as funnel cakes, fresh cut fries, cheesesteaks, freshly squeezed lemonade, tacos and more.
Beer & Wine Garden
Enjoy a beer from City breweries and wine from local wineries along the riverfront while listening to live music.
