The S.A.M. is not your average art museum. Nestled in the heart of Midtown Harrisburg, in a beautifully reclaimed builiding, S.A.M. is dedicated to education, collaboration, & creativity, and is considered one of the cultural anchors for Central Pennsylvania. The Susquehanna Art Museum offers educational programming and diverse exhibits for community members of all ages. Check out their upcoming exhibits to plan your trip!
Founded in 1860, the Broad Street Market is one of the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country. Serving as the long-time anchor of retail activity in the Midtown district, the Broad Street Market fills three city blocks between Third and Sixth streets. With over 40 vendors offering everything from apple dumplings to Zeroday craft beer, the Market always features a fresh selection of handmade goods and produce, as well as delicious prepared foods from many different cultures and cuisines.
The Market recently experienced a devastating fire in the brick building. However, the stone building remains open, and a temporary tent now hosts several vendors from the brick building. For the latest updates on the restoration project, please visit the City of Harrisburg's official government website.
Midtown’s nightlife scene just got even better with the opening of High Dive, a classic cocktail and tiki bar. Known for its creative drinks and relaxed vibe, High Dive offers expertly crafted cocktails that blend classic flavors with a tropical twist. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a night out in Midtown.
