Women in Art Museum


Harrisburg’s museums and art galleries offer plenty to explore this winter. The Art Association is presenting All Access Harrisburg from December 5 to January 8, a four-photographer show featuring William Hicks, Dr. Eliseo Rosario, Ron Steficek, and Michael Yatsko, offering their unique takes on Pennsylvania’s capital city and its inhabitants. Don’t miss the opening reception on Friday, December 19, from 5–8 pm. At the Susquehanna Art Museum, don’t miss the upcoming exhibit If Herr Street Could Talk by Harrisburg native Alteronce Gumby featuring twenty-five works that celebrate his exploration of color and material, running through Februrary 22. The State Museum of Pennsylvania is perfect for family visits, with its many permanent exhibits including Mammal Hall, bringing Pennsylvania wildlife to life. History buffs will also enjoy the National Civil War Museum, diving deep into America’s past.
