City-Fireworks over Susquehanna River

July 4th is just around the corner and for many of us that means cookouts and fireworks. This year, instead of firing up the grill, why not head to RiverFront Park in HBG, where you can enjoy the Taste of Independence Day Festival for FREE!

Live Music

Kicking off at 3pm with Maudlin Moon on the main live music stage, and Alex Allegra on the acoustic stage, the festival has a full line-up of regional and national acts performing your favorite hits. The complete schedule for both the live music stage and the acoustic stage are available here.

Food Trucks

If you are a foodie, this is your event! Nearly 40 food trucks will be stationed along RiverFront Park featuring festival favorites including BBQ, crabcake sandwiches, jumbo lobster rolls, burritos, pizza, kettle corn, funnel cakes, Farm Show milkshakes and much more!

Fireworks & Outdoor Movie

At 9:15 the City will launch the largest fireworks show in Central PA. Be sure to mark your spot early on RiverFront Park for a great view of the fireworks over the water.

New this year, the Midtown Cinema will be featuring a FREE outdoor movie night at the Market Street stage immediately following the fireworks. This year's feature film will be Moana and families can pose for pictures with Moana after the movie for FREE.

Parking

Street parking on July 4th is FREE! Parking will also be available in the large lot on City Island, where a $5 rate covers the whole day.
