Halloween is fast approaching, and Harrisburg is all set to celebrate this ghoulish holiday with a range of exciting events. Whether you're a thrill-seeker, a family looking for some spooky fun, or someone who enjoys the more lighthearted aspects of Halloween, there's something for everyone in Harrisburg. Check out some of the top Halloween events in the city below:

Imaginary Friends Halloween Show (Weekends in October)

These special Halloween shows are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! For the month of October, if a kiddo comes out dressed in their Halloween costume, they get a FREE candy from Rylie’s Snack Stand! Tickets are available on the website, www.puppetfriends.com, or in person in Strawberry Square. Don’t miss this amazing musical puppet show!

Ride the Cyclone (Oct 12-Nov 2)

Add a dark, quirky twist to your Halloween season and watch Ride the Cyclone at Open Stage. This critically acclaimed musical blends humor, heartache, and the surreal in a story about six teens who tragically lose their lives in a roller coaster accident. Get tickets here

Trunk or Treat with the Capitol Police (Oct 19)

Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the PA Capitol Police Trunk or Treat on October 19 from 3pm-6pm! The first 100 kids will receive a special Capitol Police goodie bag, plus there will be fun vendors and exciting giveaways. If you're interested, please visit the Facebook event and mark "Going" or "Interested" to stay updated. Don’t miss this chance for a safe, fun-filled afternoon!

Halloween Bash at the Brownstone (Oct 23)

The City of Harrisburg's 3rd Annual Halloween Bash at the Brownstone is back! There will be free food, raffles, crafts, a magician, a costume contest, and more! Come out on Wednesday, October 23rd from 5pm - 8pm at the Reservoir Park Brownstone!

Halloween Party at the Art Association (AAH) (Oct 25)

The 2nd Annual AAH Fall Fundraiser will be a Halloween / Costume Party on Friday, October 25th from 5-9 pm. Costumes will be judged 6:30 by last year’s winner, Emely Medina.  Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Couples Costume, Best in Theme, and one Runner-Up (Honorable Mention).

Brad Gebhart will be the MC and there will be live music as well as plenty of refreshments.  Join AAH to support a great cause — tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Get more information and tickets here.

Trick or Treat Trek (Oct 27)

Calling all ghosts and ghouls! Come in costume to Fort Hunter Park for the Trick or Treat Trek. Follow the clues to keep your search on track. Your reward? Goodies at each stop along the way! This event is free and the trek is for ages 12 and younger. Registration is required!
