The Holidays are quickly approaching and Harrisburg is your destination for Holiday performances and family events that will build precious memories. Below are just a few of the Holiday events and performances that you won't want to miss this season.

Harrisburg's Holiday Parade
Bring the kids for an afternoon of giant floats, musical acts, food vendors, dancers, and marching bands at the 2021 Harrisburg Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 20th. Starting at 10am, this year's parade will take place along Front and Second Streets from Market to North Streets. Be sure to come early and bring your lawn chairs. After the parade, be sure to stop by Strawberry Square to meet Santa and enjoy free cookies and hot chocolate.
Who's Holiday!
If you are looking for a Holiday comedy, you won't want to miss Open Stage's adults-only performance of Who's Holiday, the story of a grown Cindy Lou Who as she recalls the night she met the Grinch. Running from November 26 through December 22nd, this is hysterical performance starring Rachel Landon, will keep you laughing all evening.
Festival of Trees
Located at the historic Tavern House at Fort Hunter, this year's Festival of Trees is a wonderful FREE event to enjoy with the family. Featuring a wide assortment of creatively themed and beautifully decorated Christmas trees, the exhibit is open from November 27th - December 19th on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30-4:30. While you are there, be sure to pick-up a one-of-a-kind handmade ornament and stop by their Fort Couture dress exhibit made out of Christmas trees!
38th Annual PA Christmas Show
Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2021 PA Christmas Show held at the PA Farm Show Complex, December 1st - 5th. Featuring over 750 vendor booths, dance troupes, choral groups, a train display, dozens of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and more, this year's show is the perfect place to bring the whole family for a day of shopping and fun. The show will be open Wednesday - Saturday from 9am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
The Nutcracker
The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet will present the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, for two-nights only on December 4th & 5th. Performed at the Scottish Rite Theatre, enjoy this mesmerizing tale full of elaborate costumes, stunning sets, and award-winning dancers. Be sure to reserve your tickets early!
A Christmas Carol
The beloved Holiday Charles Dicken's tale, A Christmas Carol comes to life at Open Stage from December 4th -23rd. You won't want to miss the creative re-imagining of this class Holiday treasure, staring Nicholas Hughes as Scrooge. With 10 evening and matinee performances, be sure to grab your tickets early this year!
