July 4th Food Trucks & Fireworks

Harrisburg's July 4th Celebration 2020

On Sunday, July 4, 2021, the City of Harrisburg will host the July 4th Food Trucks & Fireworks along Riverfront Park from 3pm to 9:30pm. This event will feature food trucks, live music, a wine garden, kids activities and the largest fireworks display in Central PA! (Click HERE to download the event guide & map.)


Fireworks:

Fireworks over the Susquehanna - Free Things to DoThe PHFA July 4th fireworks display is one of the largest in Central PA! Enjoy watching the display illuminate the Susquehanna River waterfront. The show will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. and can be viewed from miles of space along Riverfront Park, City Island and other locations in the City of Harrisburg.


Live Music:

There will be a fantastic lineup of talented local musicians on the stage between Market and Walnut Street in Riverfront Park. There will also be a lineup of acoustic musicians in the wine garden. Visit the event webpage for a schedule of performances.


Wine Garden:

Wine GardenSip on wine and wine slushies from local vineyards while enjoying fantastic views of the Susquehanna River from Riverfront Park. Participating vineyards & organizations:

Family Fun:

Enjoy the following FREE family fun activities during the festival!

  • Balloon animals
  • Patriotic craft
  • Caricatures
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • 6-9pm visit from Wonder Woman & Captain America

You can also walk across the Walnut Street bridge to City Island, and enjoy miniature golf, a train ride, a trip on the Pride of the Susquehanna, or stop by Cafe Huey for a sweet treat.


Parking & Transit:

Bikers on Riverfront w Riverboat BackgroundFREE street parking is available for the holiday, or you can take advantage of $5 parking on City Island, and $10 parking from 1pm-12am at the Market Square Garage.

For those who prefer to bike to the celebration, free bike parking will be available at Walnut & Front Street courtesy of Recycle Bicycle, 1 block from the Market Street bus stop, 3 blocks from the train station.
